The Latest updates about Homecoming and parent meetings

  • The Homecoming dance has been rescheduled to December 1st; tickets are $30 with an ASB card, $35 without. ASB has provided a “Disbursement Request Form” with refunds for students who paid the original $50. The form can be picked up from Mrs. Fazah at the student store.
  • In order to facilitate recent disruptions on campus, GUSD is hosting ninety-minute sessions where parents can speak and be heard. Meetings are in  Room 12101 from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. every other Wednesday: Nov. 14, 28, Dec. 5, 12.
  • GUSD Superintendent Dr. Winfred B. Roberson, Jr. will be meeting with Keppel, Toll and Hoover Teachers for the first time since October 3rd today to ask for feedback.
  • GUSD School Board member Shant Sahakian admitted at Monday’s meeting that Hoover does have a racism problem. This comes after weeks of the district denying the possibility of having this issue.
