Last month, during lunch and after school there was a preview of the show “Insight” hosted in the art gallery. The gallery is located facing the quad, next to the student store. The show is based around respect and culture within students. They will be accepting art submissions until the 18th of this month. Students can submit an idea that focuses around unity or diversity. Art can range from photographs to even live performances. Drop offs will be done in the art gallery during lunch or after school on the 17th and 18th of that month. The show will have its opening on February 15th and it will continue to be open until March 31st. It is curated by Julia Loughlin, Jamie Calica, and Amanda Martinez (‘19). The exhibition will feature visual art, music, performances, and hands on activities. Clubs can get involved by collaborating or using the space to host a related event. Its purpose is to add “insight” into who we are as a community. If there are any students or clubs that would like to make a proposal, Ms. Stewart can be contacted through her email, which can be found on the Hoover website. Any and all proposals must be sent by 3 p.m. on January 18th.
