For the sixth year, the California Armenian Legislative Caucus will be awarding scholarships in commemoration of the Armenian Genocide. All enrolled California high school students can apply for one of two scholarships. There will be an essay and visual arts section. Both will offer a $1,000 prize to the first-place winner, $750 for second place and $500 prize for third place. The deadline to apply is April 6. The six winners will be recognized in the state Capitol during the annual Armenian Advocacy Day on April 27.
