Students will return to campus on April 26, the Glendale Teachers Association (GTA) and Glendale Unified School District announced in a statement. The “tentative agreement on a hybrid return” for the remainder of the school year includes the following:

○ Enforceable face masks rules: meals and snacks occur outside of classrooms
○ 6 foot physical distancing throughout campus without exception
○ Enforceable cleaning protocols and access to PPE, including hand sanitizer and
masks for students and staff
○ School tours will not enter classrooms
○ Safe workspaces for nurses, teacher specialists, counselors, and service
providers
○ Outdoor instructional spaces and outdoor workspaces/offices on every campus
○ Student vaccinations facilitated by GUSD as soon as students become eligible
○ Limits on number of cohorts/groups per teacher and per day
○ Limits on number of campuses per teacher specialist, nurse, or counselor
○ Chromebooks and headsets for in-person students
