Black Student Union Is Back

The Black Student Union is back at Hoover.

Located in room 11229 during lunch on Fridays, the group is open to anyone who is interested in joining.

During meetings, the students get to know each other, and build fellowship.

“Black Student Union is a way to have a community at Hoover,” said London Prince, who is the President of BSU. “Since Hoover is such a big school, there aren’t many chances to actually connect with other students.”

Black Student Union is just a way to meet other people, for many members.

Prince adds, “I moved here from Georgia, and where I lived there were mostly black students. So when I came here, there was barely anyone that looked like me. BSU creates a community.”
