The Hoover boys’ soccer team had an overwhelming first half in Friday’s Pacific League home match en route to easily defeating Muir, 5-0.
Diego Rivera led Hoover with two first-half goals both within the 20 yard line.
“Feel like we played well, we had good chemistry. It’s the third game of the season looking forward to the next game,” Diego said.
Alex Concepcion and Auldrin Stepanian each scored in the first half for Hoover, which also played exceptional defense, limiting Muir to three attempts on goal.
The second half was fairly quiet, with a goal made by Concepcion marking his second goal of the game.
