Small, but mighty is one way to describe the Hoover Tornado Marching Band.

During the night of November 2, HTMB continued to make Hoover proud. Competing against 23 other 2A Division bands, the Tornados scored 83.225, not only ranking 3rd place but also a spot in State Championships starting November 19.

When she was asked whether or not the band’s hard work paid off in the end, Melissa Campbell, HTMB’s Director, confidently responded, “It definitely paid off, the students had a very energetic, exciting performance Saturday and we’re looking forward to doing it again this Saturday.”

Additionally, HTMB received two awards–High Percussion and High Auxiliary Color Guard– to celebrate their incredible Percussion and Colorguard performance.

“I feel great that we got such a high placement,” said LuLu Herrera, band member of HTMB, “This Saturday we’re going to bring it.”
