Jason Umansky, a social science teacher at Hoover High School, is leaving after working at Hoover for five years. Umansky was named the new assistant principal at Moorpark High School.

“I’m excited to take on a different challenge and have an impact on a greater number of students,” he said.

“To the future students, ask questions and become a part of the learning process. Work as hard as you can because it all pays off.”

Umansky will be completing this semester at Hoover before he leaves to start the new school year at his new job.

About his current students, Umansky said, “I know they are going to go on to do great things, and I’m very excited to check in on them and see what the future holds for them.”
