Hoover held its first ever Night Rally on Wednesday night, with the evening starting with speeches from the fall coaches and culminating in entertainment and food that pleased the more than 150 students in attendance.
At the beginning of the rally, dances were performed by the three pep teams.
Coaches from football, swim, and track were introduced and they each announced their prediction for Friday’s game… another victory for Hoover
Noname Shawarma Food Truck was on hand to serve food.
“I loved the food, I think ASB did a great job choosing our options,” said Ella Asatori, an attender of the event.
The entertainment choices at the rally were inflatable games and arcade activities.
“I didn’t expect there to be inflatables, but it was fun,” said Kirsten Lamson, a member of the cheer team. “It’s also a fun place to hangout.”
More people showed up to the rally than expected.
“When I asked my classmates if they were going to go to the rally, lots of them said no because they didn’t know what to expect from it since it was our first time, but a lot of people actually showed up,” said Trina Shahmirzaian, the freshman president of ASB.
“A lot of people showed up and lots of people were having fun,” added Sadie Peters, a member of the dance team.
Although there was a bit of a drizzle, students still made the best out of it and enjoyed their time while it lasted.
The Tornados ended the night well, ready and prepared to beat the Glendale High School Nitros.
