Nearly 700 Hoover High School students celebrated their win against Glendale High at Friday’s Homecoming Dance at Hoover High.
The event’s theme was “Once Upon a Time.”
“We’ve done ‘Under the Stars’ for so many years that we wanted to do something different this year,” Hoover ASB member Natalia Khodaverdi said. “I’m really glad with how the décor turned out.”
After defeating Glendale, 44-14, and reclaiming the Victory Bell, Hoover students were excited and ready to have fun at homecoming.
“The energy from our upperclassmen was great and it was a good celebration,” Hoover ASB President Ruzanna Vartazaryan said.
The Homecoming Court was announced near the end of the night.
Victoria Perez was named the Homecoming Queen and Daniel Baneham, one of the heroes of Thursday’s football game, was named the Homecoming King.
“It feels surreal, so much has happened in such a short time,” Baneham said. “It’s just a perfect end to our last season for us seniors.”
