The Hoover Tornado Marching Band went off to the 2023 State Championships on Saturday and performed its show called “The Crow” at Bolsa Grande High School.
Hoover placed 10th in the state and earned third place in percussion.
Hoover arrived at 4:30 p.m., having a few hours until its performance time.
Its performance time was at 7:28 pm. Hoover was prepared and ready to put its best foot forward since this performance would be the last time it performed this year.
“I think our score and placement turned out great,” HTMB Director Melissa Campbell said. “We competed against the best bands in the state and to be ranked in the top 10 is a huge honor.”
