Hoover hosted its annual Resource Fair, allowing juniors and seniors to walk around the upper quad filled with many stands offering a variety of resources.
Students gathered many opportunities varying from employment, volunteerism, internship opportunities, and were offered on-the-spot job assistance.
The Glendale Fire Department was on hand to provide information to students.
“We have a couple different programs,” said Dylan Butcher, a firefighter from the Glendale Fire Department. “The ambulance side where we hire people to be EMT’s and are the transport component during medical emergencies.”
This event helps seniors in many different ways.
“Honestly I’m looking for a job over the summer,” said Etienne Joseph Lynch, a senior at Hoover High. “It’s going to help for money and for gas so this is going to help me find that.”
Dr. Jeremy Spurley, the principal at Hoover, thought the event was amazing.
“We are really happy to partner again with the city of Glendale,” said Spurley. “This is a great opportunity for our juniors and seniors to have this great opportunity to learn about different industries here in the city.
“We are so grateful to have this partnership in this community.”
