Herbert Hoover High School held its annual Senior Ditch Day on April 28, where the students took a class break to celebrate their final year. The event provides students with a chance to take a break from school and enjoy a day of fun and relaxation with their classmates. This year, the seniors decided to host a group trip to Huntington Beach, where they could enjoy the sun, sand, and activities with their friends.
When asked about the decision behind choosing Huntington Beach, Mane Mnatsakanyan, ASB Senior Class Member, shared, “We picked Huntington Beach for its beauty and the chance to have bonfires and make S’mores.”
Seniors also enjoyed the water, played in volleyball matches, and even built sandcastles, the usual beach activities for entertainment. While they had a memorable time, some feel sadness knowing their school days are coming to an end. As their final year wraps up, they need to enjoy every moment.
The upcoming seniors (class of 2026) must be eager to experience the spirited social life surrounding them next year. Ellada Kyurkchyan, Class of 2025, offered advice for the future seniors, saying, “Always participate in school activities. You are never too cool to have fun, and these memories will last a lifetime.”
