Donald Trump’s action to defund Planned Parenthood is absolutely sickening, revolting, and is at the utter most level of embarrassment and sadness to not only this country but globally.

       To think a white male has the slightest power to alter an organization that helps millions of women around the world is absurd.

Planned Parenthood is a confidential, helpful environment that assists women of all ages in either receiving a free or reduced price of birth control, STD tests, cancer screenings, pregnancy tests, abortions, e.t.c.

2.5 million people, mostly women, across the world choose Planned Parenthood as their health care clinic.

      Trump plans to not only defund Planned Parenthood but also many other health care clinics.

      According to slate.com, an intrauterine device, a form of birth control that last 5-12 years inside a woman’s body, has risen 900% since the election in Planned Parenthood clinics.

      Women are terrified to lose either free or affordable contraception if the affordable care act is repealed, and of course if planned parenthood becomes defunded.

       In just his first full day of office on Monday, Trump reinstated the Mexico City policy, also known as the global gag rule. It prohibits funding from the U.S. to international non-governmental organizations of family planning and reproductive health options if they include abortion.

      He wishes to prohibit doctors or health care providers to offer or advise in the choice of abortion.

      Who was surrounded by him while he was signing this executive order? Right, all men. See anything wrong with that picture?

      It’s immoral, it’s degrading, and it’s a hate crime towards women.

      America has gone too far for a pro-life president to want to cut rights and aid from women simply because he has a different opinion on women’s healthcare. Not that his opinion matters, since, you know, he’s not really a woman.

       Trump and other pro-lifers love to talk about saving a clump of tissues and cells, yet don’t seem to care about the more than 400,000 kids sitting in foster care.

     Enforcing the global gag rule won’t lower birth control rates, but moreover it will increase unsafe abortions.

      According to the Huffington Post, The World Health Organization estimates that more than 21 million women a year have unsafe abortions in developing countries, accounting for about 13% of all maternal deaths.

      Women are struggling across the world already, and Trump’s policies aren’t going to make things any better.

      His actions cannot be ignored. His threats cannot be ignored. His misogynistic viewpoints cannot be ignored.

       The fight needs to go on. Every day.
