Percy and his two friends, Annabeth and Grover, just blew up a bus on their way to the underworld. They hop on a train where they travel all the way to St. Louis to find the Gateway Arch. They proceed to get a ride from a guy with a tractor, passing a weather reporter who urges everyone to stay off the road. Ares, the god of war, shows up and offers them a ride to Los Vegas on his motorcycle. After making it safely to Vegas, the trio finds a bus to Los Angeles and continue their plan to save Percy’s mom.
