Ever wondered what it’s like to work behind the scenes of a real crime investigation? Here’s your chance! The Verdugo Regional Crime Laboratory is offering a high school internship program this summer from June 23 to July 31, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Glendale Police Department.
This internship is specifically for GUSD high school students interested in the world of forensic science. Only two students will be selected, making this a super competitive and exclusive opportunity.
What You Need to Apply:
- A 3.0 GPA or higher
- Be a student in good standing
- Write an essay explaining why you’re interested in working at a crime lab
- Get 1-2 recommendation letters from teachers or counselors
The internship offers a deep dive into forensic science, from lab techniques to crime scene investigations. You’ll get hands-on exposure and work alongside real forensic professionals—something that could shape your future career.
Note: You must be at least 16 years old and have a work permit if under 18. Make sure to talk to your counselor and let them know you’re applying.
