Every year, during the first full week of May, schools all over the nation join to celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week. This week is dedicated to honoring the amazing dedication, kindness, and effort of educators. In 2025, the celebration feels especially important, as teachers continue to overcome challenges and create safe and supportive learning environments that inspire students daily.
At our school, the week was filled with happy moments, sincere thank-yous, and well-deserved recognition for the staff who make a lasting impact. Students and staff worked together to create a lively atmosphere, spreading appreciation to every teacher and making a lasting impact. Energy in the school reflected the deep respect and admiration shared by the entire community.
Lina Khachatryan(28) mentioned, ¨Besides simply passing on knowledge, teachers inspire curiosity, develop potential, and influence the future often without anticipating recognition. We honor the commitment and emotion they put into every student in this Teacher Appreciation Week.¨
A highlight of the week was a special visit from Dr. Spurley, our principal, who, along with other staff, walked through the halls giving out treats to teachers. This simple yet meaningful gesture brought smiles and reminded everyone of the close-knit, caring community that defines our school. This thoughtful outreach showed how much the leadership team values its educators and the vital work they do each day.
Each kind act throughout the week reminded us that educators are truly the backbone of our society, shaping future generations with patience, creativity, and dedication.
¨A teacher who cares enough to mentor, push, and believe is the driving force behind every confident student. Teacher Appreciation Week serves as a reminder that their influence endures for a lifetime and goes well beyond the classroom,¨ said Gayane Harutyunyan.
As Teacher Appreciation Week 2025 comes to an end, we are reminded that while we pause to celebrate teachers during this special week, our appreciation should continue all year long. Their impact is immeasurable, and their influence goes far beyond the classroom.
To all teachers: thank you for everything you do every day.
