The Class of 2026 gathered at Hoover High School’s softball field on Friday morning to watch the sunrise together.
It was a chance for seniors to create ever-lasting memories, bond with one another, reflect on their high school journey before graduation, and enjoy the beginning of their final year.
“The most exciting thing about the senior sunrise is seeing everyone in your grade enjoying their last six months together,” Hoover senior Henry Gunner said.
During the event, decorated poster boards were passed around for friend groups to take lots of pictures with. ASB students offered a variety of breakfast foods along with physical games like ping-pong and connect 4 for all to enjoy.
“Spending time with all the seniors and watching the sun rise together is the most enjoyable,” Hoover senior counselor Emma Hernandez said.
Bright smiles filled the air as everyone enjoyed the moment the sunrised at approximately 7:00 a.m.
“Watching the sunrise with my friends was so fun,” Ava Chae, a senior, said.
Even though the event had to come to an end at 8:00 a.m., the energy was still on theme of the tradition–coming together as a class to make memories.
