Hoover High School’s ASB class announced the theme for Homecoming on Friday at lunch.
Students crowded into the quad, eagerly waiting to hear the exciting news.
When ASB revealed “Whispers of Wonderland,” the crowd went wild.
Students cheered, recorded the moment on their phones, and talked about how cool the theme was.
“I’m really excited about the Whispers of Wonderland theme,” said senior president Tina Davtyan. “It’s unique. It takes after Alice in Wonderland, but it has a dark and creative tone to it.”
The Alice in Wonderland-inspired theme opens up many possibilities for decorations and Spirit Days. ASB hinted that this year’s Homecoming is going to feel magical from start to finish.
“I think the theme this year for Hoco is really cute,” said junior ASB member Isabella Zies Lizarraga. “I like that it’s very different from the other themes that we’ve done.”
Announcing the theme left students excited and looking forward to Homecoming.
“The cabinet came together and came up with the theme,” said junior ASB member Sadie Peters.
Homecoming is set for November 1, and tickets will go on sale soon at the student store.
