On Monday October 29, 2018 students arranged a walkout. They marched a peaceful protest. The students were simply asking for answers to why BGD was canceled for the first time in history and why Homecoming was delayed until December. Students felt disrespected and ignored, wanting to have their voices heard. News reporters gathered all around the students with cameras. Students walked out to the Glendale Unified School District building. They were seated in a small room with provided water. First, two students spoke out about why they were gathered here. Then the superintendent, principal, and district president spoke out. The meeting was cut short right after with no students sharing their opinions. School busses were provided to students who wanted to go back to school. Around 10 people walked all the way back to school. The school day continued regularly with a few policemen on campus.
