Since the pandemic started, many sports teams’ practices and events have gone on pause.

But, in case you haven’t heard already, sports are back in the game!

With sports finally being granted to meet in person, there’s only more good news to add.

Last week the eight counties part of the Southern Section footprint have met the threshold of 14 cases for every 100,000 people and have allowed sports to continue. As of Tuesday, Los Angeles County, San Luis Obispo County, Orange County, and San Bernardino County have reached less than 7 cases for every 100,000 people.

What does this mean?

Cases have dropped so testing required for the football and boys’ and girls’ water polo teams under CDPH guidelines are no longer required.
