Hoover’s performers had the night of their lives at their annual concert.
You may think that this was an ordinary school performance, but this fall concert was much more than that for these kids.
They worked relentlessly from August to October, about eight weeks preparing for this moment that, for many of them, was a first.
Melissa Campbell, the concert director, was proud to lead these kids and did her very best to keep them in line.
“I think all the groups performed really well tonight,” she stated. “A lot of times I like to reflect back on the past and performances we had before and I think this year’s fall concert was really put together.
There were many great performances throughout the concert and many reactions from the audience but a few in particular were unexpected.
“They were really, really excited for some of our soloists and the jazz band and I think it was really fun to see their reactions to some of the choir songs,” Campbell explained.
The students were proud of their performance as they stepped out of the auditorium and some of the performers had even said they felt good after the performance though they were nervous.
The audience was excited over the performance, screaming their lungs out the entire concert over their favorites and the others.
Brian Jackson, an audience member who had enjoyed the concert, shared his thoughts and explained what he felt about the kids and their talent.
“They did great out there,” he said. “I think the best part was the lighting and how it changed for the different songs and they did really well.”
The crowd seemed to love the songs, and after the long two months of preparation, the performers were ready to step out and give it their best.
