Hoover’s business program had the exciting opportunity to go on a three-day trip to New York City to participate in the 2026 Youth Business Summit. Three firms—Ratio+Plus, NutriVida, and Tastetop—were able to compete in a trade show.NutriVida won the Bronze award for Booth Design.
“We took the most time on Booth Design because it was what we wanted to win,” said Amber Romano, CEO of NutriVida. “It took us two months of planning, so I was very proud to win bronze.”
Additionally, Ratio+Plus won the Gold award for Social Media Marketing.
“Winning made me feel incredibly proud,” stated Evelyn Torosiyan, CEO of Ratio+Plus. “Not just of the award itself, but of all the hard work my team put in to get there.”
Students were able to collaborate with teens from around the world.
“I was in a group with people from Germany, Bulgaria, Brazil, and other countries,” said Romano. “Meeting them was one of my favorite parts.”
The event’s global inclusivity was also a highlight for Torosiyan.
“[I enjoyed] being able to showcase my product to people from all over the world and learn about theirs,” said Torosiyan. “It was really inspiring to see so many creative ideas and connect with different businesses.
