Despite being just a sophomore, Jeanna Santiago has already made a name for herself on Hoover’s girls’ basketball team, earning All-Pacific League honors for her standout performance this season.
Santiago was selected as one of the top players in the league, representing Hoover among athletes from competing schools.
Reflecting on what helped her earn the honor, Santiago pointed to her effort and consistency throughout the season.
“Last year, one of my teammates got an honorable mention because she was a leading scorer and really represented the team well,” Santiago said. “My coach supported her because she did a lot for us. I think I did the same this year by showing up and giving my best.”
