Two players on Hoover’s girls soccer team earned a spot on the All-Pacific League Team.
Freshman Nadia Gevorgyan made it on the second team.
“It means a lot to be recognized after all the hard work my teammates and I put into this season,” said Gevorgyan. “Being a freshman, it feels even more special to [be recognized] when playing with older and more experienced players.”
Gevorgyan shared the highlight of her season.
“My favorite memory was my first game on this team,” claimed Gevorgyan. “Not only did I get to score an amazing goal, but I also got to play with all of my friends.”
Selena Asatoorean, a junior, received an honorable mention.
“Being on the All-League team was such an accomplishment, since it was something I had been working towards,” said Asatoorean. “It feels good knowing my hard work paid off in the end.”
Asatoorean also shared her favorite memory from being on the team.
“My favorite memory is of one of our Friday night home games from preseason, where we ended up winning, and the team felt accomplished,” said Asatoorean. “Having a good bond with the team is amazing and it’s great to share so many close moments with them.”
