Imagine: the bell rings after fourth period, and it’s time for lunch. You grab a friend, go to a nearby cart that has food, and wait in line. You think about what you’re going to get today and realize the cart only has pizza or a dry chicken sandwich. “Again!?” you might say, filled with disappointment.
But why don’t we have more variety for snack or lunch? People get tired of eating the same thing everyday, and most people agree that it is time for a change.
Some students with allergies also would be limited to eating at the cafeteria because of something small like walnuts on a salad. But on the other hand, Nairi Hakopyan (28´) states ¨There aren’t enough condiments in the sandwiches. They taste bland.¨
A problem most people have with food is not wanting it to be complicated. Finger food, being easy to eat is the most practical. Buying a pizza from the cafeteria is much easier to eat than a salad, for example.
So what could be a solution? Maybe leaving all the condiments on the side. Or having a wider variety for all people to find something they like. Buying more finger food for school could be an easy way to make more people want to eat more food. The easier it is to carry around, the better it´ll sell. Whatever the situation, people need to eat during school. It fuels their bodies and is essential for staying energized and happy.
