Hoover math teacher and basketball coach, Nathaniel Calvario, won’t be returning to Hoover in the fall. Calvario will be a teacher at Sussman Middle School in Downey.

“Me leaving has nothing to do with Hoover. I really love it here. If it were closer to home, I’d continue to stay,” said Calvario, who has been a teacher at Hoover for five years.

He also mentioned how he is trying to start a family and Sussman Middle School is closer to his home.

“Sussman Middle school is an ideal school that keeps me close to home,” he said.

When asked about what he will miss the most about hoover, he said, “I made a lot of friends here and learned from a lot of people. I collected a ton of allies and will still keep in touch with them.”
