This week was College Week at Herbert Hoover High School, featuring fun activities every day during lunch. The purpose of the event was to help students learn about different colleges and careers they might want to pursue in the future.
“The purpose of this college fair was to inform students of the different options they had after graduating high school. Each student has their own goals and path, as long as they know what their options are and make informed decisions,” said college advisor Martina Arroyo.
A College and Career Fair took place during lunch on Tuesday. Students walked around and spoke with representatives from community colleges, four-year universities, and various career programs. They asked questions about campus life, available majors, and admission requirements.
“College Week was an important opportunity for students to learn about what was available to them and to help them make the best decisions for their future,” said Serly Bedrosian, GCC Student Ambassador.
The fair gave students a valuable chance to explore their options and even discover new career paths they hadn’t considered before. College Week continued for the rest of the week with more lunchtime activities for everyone to enjoy.
