Hoover High School transformed the upper quad into a sparkling winter fantasy for this year’s Homecoming dance, themed “Whispers of Wonderland.”
Students arrived dressed in their best, ready for an unforgettable night.
The decorations created a magical atmosphere, with shimmering lights and winter-themed displays that made the campus feel enchanted. It was clear how much work had gone into bringing the theme to life.
“It feels more calming because hoco week took over my life in a way, in and out of school,” said junior ASB member Sadie Peters. “Now that the planning and chaos has slowed down, I can focus on my sport season and school more.”
Music played throughout the evening as students danced, laughed, and enjoyed the night with friends.
“My favorite part of hoco was probably going to dance with my friends,” said junior Edwin Martinez. “It was a fun experience and a nice way to spend my Saturday night.”
For many, the photo opportunities were a highlight.
“My favorite part of homecoming 2025 was the photobooth because it had a lot of fun options for photos,” shared junior Sophia Engstrom.
The DJ kept the energy high from start to finish, and students also enjoyed a variety of snacks and desserts, adding to the festive experience.
One of the most anticipated moments of the night was the announcement of the Homecoming court.
Luis Hernandez was crowned senior Homecoming King, alongside Sophia Mamikonyan as Homecoming Queen.
“I feel very honored to be Hoco King for my last year of high school,” Hernandez said. “It will be a core memory I’ll carry with me, and I’m grateful for all those who are with me at all times.”
