Going to the Clippers vs. The Trail Blazers game as a student journalist was an unforgettable experience.
With my media pass, I got to sit in the media box surrounded by real reporters, it felt amazing to be part of it.
The best part was the free food.
There were meals, snacks, and drinks ready for everyone in the press area.
While eating, I took a moment to take in what was happening around me.
I talked to Amber Romano, another student journalist and Hoover’s counselor Araxi Dertavitian.
Everything felt like a dream.
I also got to talk to some of the Clippers dancers.
They were super nice and pretty.
They shared what it’s like to perform and practice for big games along with everyday life skills as an inspired dancer.
Overall, being in the media box made me see the game in a whole new way.
It wasn’t just about basketball, it was about everyone who makes the night happen.
I left feeling inspired and grateful for the experience.
