As the fall volleyball season came to a close, one Hoover athlete finished the year with a spotlight moment of her own.
Sophomore Sona Yegnanyan was selected for the All-Pacific League girls’ volleyball team.
Although she attends Clark Magnet High School, Yegnanyan plays for Hoover’s volleyball team, making the honor even more meaningful as she represents two school communities.
For Yegnanyan, the news felt incredibly rewarding after months of effort.
“Being selected to the all-league team meant a lot to me,” she shared. “It showed that all the time and effort I put into practices and games this season really paid off.
“It really helped me to understand that hard work is noticed. This recognition motivates me to keep improving and working harder for the future.”
As a sophomore, Yegnanyan still has two full seasons ahead of her, and this recognition is already shaping the path she hopes to take.
“As a sophomore, this recognition pushes me to set even bigger goals for myself,” she explained. “I also hope to become a stronger leader on the team, supporting my teammates and helping everyone work together for the next two seasons.”
