NutriVida, a business class at Hoover, sold triple chocolate cookies to students on Thursday.
The cookies were priced at $5, and the team sold out during lunch.
NutriVida is a student-run business that gives students the chance to practice real-world business skills.
By selling cookies, the class learned more about teamwork, responsibility, and how to interact with customers in a school setting.
The NutriVida team worked together to prepare and run the sale in an organized way.
“It went better than expected,” said Juliana Calvo, the business teacher.
“I knew it was going to be a success but I was happily surprised that we were able to successfully succeed our expectations.”
The Chief Operating Officer of NutriVida also shared her thoughts.
“ It was a wonderful experience, I was thrilled we sold out of our cookies,” said Melanie Hartounian, a senior.
“I was nervous because we didn’t have enough time to prepare, but working with our CEO made it all worthwhile”
Overall, the cookie sale was successful and the money will be used for future events, including New York in April.
